    What is Civil Engineering Course?

Civil engineering involves planning, construction, designing, maintaining, and managing organizational structures and facilities. These facilities are helpful to make the surrounding a modern one. From constructing towers, bridges, metro, to building airports, society, hospitals, and providing necessary amenities, a civil engineer graduate are the minds behind constructing & implementing them. Considering this, the course study offers you environment-friendly, public protective, and advancing the existing infrastructure. Overall, the program is the combination of essential science technologies to understanding the concepts of civil engineering theoretically and practically. With academic projects, seminars, and lab practical’s, you will acquire knowledge in all areas like Construction Management, Highway Engineering, Structural Environment, and many more relevant topics.

    Civil Engineering Course Highlights

    •Civil Engineering Course Level - Bachelor’s Degree
•Civil Engineering Duration - 4 Year degree course
•Civil Engineering Eligibility - Minimum 45% in 12th (science) from a recognized institute or college
    •Exam Type - Semester Pattern
•*Civil Engineering Average Course Fee - Public Institutes: INR 2 to 4 Lacs & Private Institutes: INR 3 to 5 Lacs
•Civil Engineering Average Starting Salary - INR 25,000 to INR 50,000
•Top Recruiting Companies After Civil Engineering - Land Transport Authority, Jones Lang LaSalle, L&T, Jacobs Engineering, TATA consulting engineers Ltd, etc.

    Civil Engineering Duration

Civil Engineering Degree course is a 4 year’s program divided into 8 semesters. In these 4 years, you will gain knowledge about all the societal infrastructure demands & needs. The program focuses on designing, planning of residential buildings, industries, and water-powered structures, hygiene systems, and all other infrastructures.

    Civil Engineering Eligibility

Should be passed with 45% in 10+2 from a recognized institute or college. And with that, you should have 50% marks (40% in case of candidates of SC/ST category) in Mathematics + Physics + Chemistry/Biology.

Grades of entrance exams like - IITJEE, AIEEE, BITSAT, etc. are also considered if you have scored well (positive score).

    Admission Process

Three category students can apply for a civil engineering course; they are: - For Diploma Holders: If you have completed your diploma course in the same field and are willing to pursue B.E. in civil engineering, then you can take direct admission in the second year. - Direct Admission: There is a specific procedure that has been followed by the engineering institutes for admission process. The first criteria are based on merit marks, i.e., marks in 10+2, and the second criteria are for the management seats, which is mostly reserved and followed in private institutes. The management fees have an additional charge to the regular fees and vary from college to college. - With Entrance Exam Score-card: There are various entrance exams given for getting admission to a well-known institute. Exams like AIEEE, JEE Main, JEE Advance and many more exams which are given on a national or international level. The scores of these exams can also help you in getting admission in a renowned institute. (If you have relevant marks as the cut-off there).
